Another doctor appointment

Yesterday, I had another doctor appointment to go over my lab results and to check my blood pressure. I'm very happy to report that everything is going well! My thyroid medication is working (which I'm sure is helping with my weight loss...17 pounds so far and I'm down 1 pant size and 2 shirt sizes) and my blood pressure was great! It's such a relief to hear that everything is working the way it is supposed to right now. Now if I could only get myself off of all the meds (except for the thyroid, which is now a lifetime med for me) I will be an extremely happy camper.

While at the doctor's office, I decided to confess something to her that I probably should have told her about YEARS ago. I think I may have a back problem. There...I said it...my back hurts me. Lance has been nagging me for years to go see someone about this, but I'm stubborn...so I never went. Until yesterday. My doctor gave me a referral form to go see a specialist in Walnut Creek and my first appointment will be on Tuesday. It doesn't hurt 24/7, but it does hurt me at certain times when it shouldn't. I can't go on even a 1/2 mile walk without it hurting. It hurts when I sweep at the preschool. And it hurts when I'm standing to color my mom's hair. My doctor thinks it may be a problem with a disk, but we won't know for sure until they do the xrays on Tuesday and I talk to the orthopedist. Oh boy....

This is going to be a very packed but fun weekend for us. Tomorrow is my sister's 22nd birthday! I can't believe she's 22 already. She is such a beautiful, fun woman and I'm so lucky to have her. Tomorrow night we are all going to a work party for my dad. Usually we wouldn't be going to something like this, but it is supposed to be a really fun big bash, so I'm looking forward to it. Sunday is Father's Day and we've decided to take my dad to the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield. He has been wanting to go there for a while now. That night, we have reservations to take him to P.F. Changs for dinner. Should be fun!

Alright...I have errands to run...more later!
