There were at least 5 different times today when I thought about topics that would make really great blog entries. They all included either something I've thought about during the day or something that happened to me. Yet as I sit here in front of the computer, I can't remember even one of my ideas. I've been staring at my computer screen for over 10 minutes now. I'm really going to have to start writing down my ideas as they come to me. Maybe a pen and a small piece of paper wouldn't be such a bad thing to carry around in my pocket.
Lance and I went to a class tonight on New Baby Care. It was great and super informative, although I'm sure that I'm going to forget everything I learned tonight when we're placed with a child. I often think this is what is going to happen if I should ever need to apply my CPR training. After every CPR class I've ever had, I've always had this feeling that my skills will fly out the window when I need them the most. The lady who taught our class tonight was great. She's an R.N. and a Foster Parent Liasion. I made sure to grab her contact information before I left in case I ever need to get a hold of her for anything. She is definitely a contact that I want to keep.
We're renewing our CPR/First Aid certification on Saturday. I sooooo wish that I could have my Saturday free this weekend, but I'm also anxious to get the training out of the way.
I'm really enjoying my classes at the adult ed. My teachers are really great. I actually created an Excel sheet for work today and was able to apply some things that I learned in my class. Woo hoo! I retained something. Hooray for me!
Alrighty...time for bed.
