Slacker!

Okay, so I didn't exactly live up to the expectations I had for myself to actually blog every day this month. I was on the right track for a while...then I goofed. Then, over the last week or so, I haven't been able to pick myself back up. Ah well...life happens.

November is Haiku-A-Day month. I am setting the bar high again and I'm expecting to be able to accomplish this. I can say now that I think it will be easier to write a 3 line Haiku compared to a blog entry, but it may not end up that way. Expect my first one tomorrow.

So, here is what has been happening in my life over the last week or so:

Today was my last day working at the preschool. I'm bummed...super sad. I really love it there and enjoy the kids and the entire staff more than I could possibly express. I made sure they knew to call me whenever they needed a sub.

School continues to go well. My teachers are awesome. I believe I have 3 more weeks of class this term. I'm not sure what I'm going to take next term, but I may only take one class. Even though I am no longer at the preschool everyday, I'm still going to be working over 40 hours a week. I'm trying to do as much as I can without burning out. Sometimes it is a fine line, but I think I'm managing.

I absolutely love the classes that I have been attending that are for foster and adopting parents. Lance has gone to all but maybe one or two classes with me and they have all been great. We have met some absolutely wonderful people. I am signed up to take 3 more classes before the end of the year. I'm really looking forward to them.

I don't know about everyone else, but I am SOOOOO ready for the election to be over. Whoever is elected really has their work cut out for them. No on 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Weekend!
